ASSESSMENT OF STUDENTS’ AWARENESS IN BUILDING AND DEFENDING THE SOCIALIST FATHERLAND AT AN GIANG UNIVERSITY TODAY

The article analyzes the current state of awareness and practical actions of An Giang University students regarding the building and defense of the socialist Fatherland in the present context. Using document analysis, questionnaire surveys, and statistical data processing, the study collected responses from 300 students across eight faculties. The results indicate that most students demonstrate proper civic responsibility, patriotism, and political awareness; however, a small proportion still show ambiguity and a weak connection between awareness and action. Based on these findings, the article proposes several solutions to strengthen political, national defense, and security education, while promoting the role of Youth Union and Student Association organizations in enhancing students’ awareness of building and defending the Fatherland in the new period.
