Bài viết tập trung phân tích thực trạng nhận thức và hành động của sinh viên Trường Đại học An Giang về xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc xã hội chủ nghĩa trong bối cảnh hiện nay. Sử dụng phương pháp phân tích tài liệu, điều tra bằng bảng hỏi và xử lý dữ liệu thống kê, nghiên cứu đã khảo sát 300 sinh viên thuộc tám khoa. Kết quả cho thấy đa số sinh viên có nhận thức đúng đắn về trách nhiệm công dân, tinh thần yêu nước và ý thức chính trị, song vẫn còn một bộ phận nhỏ biểu hiện mơ hồ, thiếu gắn kết giữa nhận thức và hành động. Trên cơ sở đó, bài viết đề xuất một số giải pháp nhằm tăng cường giáo dục chính trị, quốc phòng và an ninh, phát huy vai trò của các tổ chức Đoàn, Hội trong nâng cao ý thức xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc cho sinh viên trong giai đoạn mới.
