Abstract

The integration of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) into digital learning materials presents new opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of self-regulated mathematics learning at the upper-secondary level. In response to this practical need, the present study aims to examine the perceptions and needs of tenth-grade students regarding GenAI-integrated digital learning resources. A cross-sectional survey design was employed, utilizing an online self-administered questionnaire that yielded 296 valid responses from tenth-grade students in several high schools across Phu Tho Province, Vietnam. The questionnaire was developed based on validated international scales (TAM/UTAUT, SRL, and PR) and subsequently adapted to the Vietnamese educational context; all items were measured using a five-point Likert scale. The findings serve as an empirical basis for proposing contextualized design implications in developing GenAI-integrated digital learning platforms to enhance students’ learning effectiveness, particularly within the Grade 10 Mathematics curriculum (2018 General Education Program).
