Abstract

Objective: To assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) regarding reproductive health and identify associated factors among students at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Tan Trao University. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted from September 2025 to February 2026 among 282 Nursing and Pharmacy students selected by convenience sampling. Data were collected using a structured self-administered questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 26.0. Descriptive statistics and Chi-square tests were applied, with p<0.05 considered statistically significant. Results: The proportions of students with good knowledge, positive attitudes, and good practices were 29.4%, 52.1%, and 45.7%, respectively. Knowledge was significantly associated with place of residence before university entry and access to reproductive health information. Attitudes were significantly associated with academic year, field of study, place of residence, and access to information, while practices were significantly associated with academic year (p<0.05). Significant associations were also found between knowledge and attitudes, knowledge and practices, and attitudes and practices. Conclusions: Knowledge was the most limited domain. Targeted educational, communication, and counseling interventions are needed to improve students’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding reproductive health, particularly in areas such as safe contraception, HPV/HIV, and HIV testing.
