Abstract

The research results show that the main limiting factors affecting the yield of autumn-winter peanuts in Thai Nguyen are low planting density and drought at the end of the season

The most suitable planting density for the L14 peanut variety in the autumn-winter season in Thai Nguyen is 33 plants/m2, with a spacing of 33 cm x 10 cm x 1 plant. At this density and spacing, the peanut plants grow well, yielding a high productivity (33.2 quintals/ha), an increase of 33.3% compared to the common planting density of local people. Irrigating the autumn-winter peanuts three times during the flowering stage (R1) to the fruit formation and kernel ripening stage (R6) with 860 m3/ha of water resulted in a yield of 33.2 quintals/ha, increasing productivity by 61.9% compared to the non-irrigated method
