LINGUISTIC CHARACTERISTICS IN VO HONG'S SHORT STORIES

Vo Hong is a writer and educator who is always conscious of preserving and educating the younger generation about the good morals and traditional culture of the nation. In his works, specifically in his short stories, Vo Hong always consciously uses simple, colloquial language as the main language in expressing his ideas. To achieve maximum aesthetic effect, the author employs many flexible artistic techniques. This makes Vo Hong's short stories accessible and easy to understand for most readers of different levels. This article examines the linguistic characteristics of Vo Hong's short stories in shaping his literary style and in disseminating traditional cultural and humanistic values to readers.
