This study analyzes the shrimp value chain and identifies key factors affecting the economic efficiency of shrimp farming in Ca Mau Province, Vietnam. Primary data were collected from 120 farming households between November 2025 and February 2026. The study employs value chain analysis combined with a multiple linear regression model to evaluate the determinants of profitability. The results indicate that value added is mainly concentrated at the farming and processing stages, while linkages among value chain actors remain limited. The regression model is statistically significant (F = 18.72; p < 0.01). Farming experience and farm size have positive effects on profitability, whereas feed costs and seed costs negatively affect economic efficiency. Based on these findings, the study suggests policy implications focusing on improving technical capacity, optimizing input cost management, and strengthening value chain linkages to enhance economic efficiency and promote sustainable shrimp farming development in the study area.
